My passion for building things began during a childhood spent building tree houses and forts in the woods around our neighborhood.  Later, I spent time helping my Dad do projects around the house - converting corner of a den to a half-bath, rebuilding a front door, building a gable end roof on top of a leaky flat roof.  And, the biggest project of all -installing an inground swimming pool from a purchased kit.  After college, I become a huge fan of This Old House, Norm Abram and his show, The New Yankee Workshop.

In 1990, we bought our own "This Old House", a 1895 Victorian in our hometown of Barnesville Ga. Renovation has lead to many projects including building furniture and cabinetry.  

As I approached retirement, I decided to turn my woodworking passion into a business to supplement my pension.  And, here we are...launching Britt Woodworking.  I hope you enjoy seeing the work I've done and, perhaps, allowing me the honor of building for you.
